Monica Rogers obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from Virginia Tech in 2007 and completed her Masters of Social Work from Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College in 2013. She worked at the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health located in New York City as a therapist until 2015. Monica left Postgraduate and from there, went to work for Community Connections located in Washington, DC. Monica has primarily worked in outpatient settings, serving clients who experience a range of mental health diagnoses.
Monica joined Lighthouse in December 2018 as a full-time staff member. Monica is the Program Manager of Lighthouse’s Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Program. Monica provides individual and group services as a DBT Therapist. She also provides treatment for individuals exploring their gender and sexual orientation. Monica has also been trained in EMDR and provides individual EMDR treatment. In her spare time, Monica enjoys spending time with her partner and family, reading, watching movies/tv, running, and hanging out with her cat, Bruce.
