Carmen Greiner (she/her) first opened Lighthouse Counseling of Fredericksburg in 2008. She was licensed as a Professional Counselor in 1998 and credentialed as a Master Addictions Counselor in 2000. She has extensive experience working in both community mental health, court involved treatment, and private practice. Her specialties include counseling those who identify under the queer umbrella, those who use substances, and persons who struggle with symptoms of depression, anxiety or Borderline Personality Disorder. She has received extensive education in the provision of Dialectical Behavior Therapy.  Most recently, her work has focused on “Harm Reduction” – a set of interventions with those who use substances focusing on safety rather than just abstinence. 

Ms. Greiner provides a wide variety of trainings to criminal justice staff and other therapists in a variety of issues including:  ethics, treatment with LGBTQIA persons, substance use and DBT. 

In her time off, Ms. Greiner enjoys playing music, traveling with her wife to visit art museums and posting pictures of baby animal. 

 

 

Janine Rumberger obtained a bachelor’s degree from Mount Holyoke in 1990 and completed her Master of Clinical Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1996. She worked for the Rappahannock Area Community Services Board (RACSB) first as a case manager, then as a therapist and finally, she was the Director of Emergency Services. Ms. Rumberger left RACSB and from there, went to work for the Women’s Program at Prince William Community Services Board. Ms. Rumberger joined Lighthouse Counseling in 2013.

Ms. Rumberger specializes in treatment for obsessive compulsive disorders, depression, anxiety, trauma and problems associated with substance use. She has completed specialized training in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorders, substance use disorders and EMDR.

 In her free time, she enjoys travel, time with her family, art history, and playing with her dog Zoe.

 

Andrea Holman is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Virginia. She earned her Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education in 2013 and her Masters Degree in Professional Counseling in 2018 from Grand Canyon University. As an educator, she worked with elementary and middle school aged children identified as having an Emotional Disability since 2014. Mrs. Holman started her counseling career with Fredericksburg Counseling Services, a free mental health clinic for those without health insurance.

While there, she worked with couples, children, adolescents, and adults focusing on communication, anger management, emotion regulation, coping skills, depression, and anxiety. Andrea joined Lighthouse Counseling of Fredericksburg April of 2018 and has facilitated Transgender Therapy Groups, Substance Abuse Groups, Anger management Groups, Adult Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Groups, and also co-facilitates an Adolescent Dialectical Behavioral Therapy group. Andrea has experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, Autism, and LGBTQ+ issues, and is EMDR Basic trained as well. In addition to facilitating various groups at Lighthouse, she works with individual clients from children to adults.

When focusing on her own self-care, Andrea loves to paint, draw, travel, and spend time with loved ones. She has a passion for giving back to her community and helping those in need.

 

Monica Rogers obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from Virginia Tech in 2007 and completed her Masters of Social Work from Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College in 2013. She worked at the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health located in New York City as a therapist until 2015. Monica left Postgraduate and from there, went to work for Community Connections located in Washington, DC. Monica has primarily worked in outpatient settings, serving clients who experience a range of mental health diagnoses.

Monica joined Lighthouse in December 2018 as a full-time staff member. Monica is the Program Manager of Lighthouse’s Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Program. Monica provides individual and group services as a DBT Therapist. She also provides treatment for individuals exploring their gender and sexual orientation. Monica has also been trained in EMDR and provides individual EMDR treatment. In her spare time, Monica enjoys spending time with her partner and family, reading, watching movies/tv, running, and hanging out with her cat, Bruce. 

 

River Marley, LCSW uses they/them pronouns. They obtained their bachelor’s degree in Deaf Studies from Towson University in 2014 and worked with the Deaf community as a rehabilitation counselor with a non-profit organization. River earned their master’s degree from University of Maryland, Baltimore, School of Social Work in 2018. River has worked as a Hospice Social Worker and as an outpatient mental health therapist supporting children, adolescents, and adults. River has experience offering mental health counseling in out-patient clinics, homeless shelters, and schools.

River currently provides individual counseling to adolescents and adults and co-leads a Dialectical Behavioral Therapy group. They primarily work with individuals who have anxiety, depression, and emotional dysregulation. River also specializes in LGBTQ+ therapy offering gender and sexual orientation affirmative care. River is also trained in EMDR for trauma treatment.

River has two birds, two cats and loves all things art!!!

Katie Fields received her master’s degree in Counseling and Human Development from Troy University in 1995. She has attended VCU’s rehab program and completed the classes she needed for licensure in 2021. Katie has worked in multiple settings including inpatient psychiatric care, in-home therapy, and as a therapist for the Fredericksburg Area HIV and Aids Support Services. Katie has worked at Lighthouse Counseling since 2014.

Katie specializes in treatment for adult and adolescents who are questioning their gender and/or sexual orientation identity, those who struggle with emotion dysregulation, and those with substance use disorders. She has completed advanced training in EMDR and DBT.  In her leisure time, Katie spends time with her grandchildren, watches sports on television and travels.

Katie is currently retired from active therapy though she remains on staff in an administrative capacity. 

 

Kylie D. earned her MSW Masters of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University and BA in Women’s Studies from Mary Washington College. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and has certifications in EMDR, Reiki, and MARI (Mandala Assessment Research Instrument). Kylie has an eclectic focus to appreciate the diversity of the individual. She believes strongly in utilizing a biopsychosocial-spiritual model as she understands that all of these factors contribute to make up who we are. 

She is interested in life transitions and the process of individuation and helping others find their voice through self-discovery. She describes herself as a Type A hippie, loving lists and schedules while remaining flexible to enjoy the spontaneity that life brings as well as the energy that connects us to the universe. She utilizes creative approaches including art, music, and energy work in her practices. She specializes in trauma and LGBTQ+ issues. Kylie is currently part-time at Lighthouse Counseling, only providing assessments and letters for affirming services, as well as brief short-term therapy in certain cases.    

Pamela S Robins, MSEd, CSAC graduated from Mary Washington College in 1984 with a BA in Sociology, and from Old Dominion University in 1993 with a Master of Science in Education, with an emphasis on counseling.   I am also a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor.   I have been working in the substance use recovery field for over 30 years and have experience in multiple areas.  I worked in corrections as a therapist in the long term, intensive ACT Program in the Arlington County Detention Facility for 8 years, and 10 years as a treatment provider employed by RACSB and contracted to provide on-site services at the local probation department.  I have extensive experience working with those with opioid use disorder, including pregnant women.  I have also worked under a grant with the department of social services, and currently work in an intensive outpatient program as a full-time therapist.   This is my passion and I love watching the change process as people grow in their recovery.   My interests include my two dogs and my cat, art, collecting vintage clothing and purses, and watching my two college-aged kids grow into young adults. 

Nichole Inbody, LPC obtained her bachelor’s degree from Old Dominion University in 2015. She went on to get her master’s degree from Liberty University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2022.  She identifies as Asian American and as such, feels that she brings an understanding of how Asian culture can impact the therapeutic process.  

She has worked in a variety of settings including community mental health, as an evaluator in the emergency room, and outpatient therapy. She enjoys working with clients diagnosed with serious mental illness, those persons’ who are in crisis and person’s mandated into substance use disorder treatment.  In her free time, she enjoys traveling (including frequent trips to Japan), weightlifting, cooking, and reading.

 

 

Janann Hossaini, Billing Manager with 10 years of experience in behavioral health practices.

Janann has experience in office management, bookkeeping, scheduling & registration, & medical billing for commercial and government insurance plans.  She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1999.  Janann enjoys spending time with her husband & 3 children, travelling, & cooking.

Christina Daley-Quental (she/they) graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Master of Social Work and is a  Licensed Master Social Worker and a Supervisee in Social Work. Christina earned a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Connecticut, and a Master of Education in Higher Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. After working as a college admissions professional, music coach and teacher, and church musician, Christina chose to pursue a career in social work. Christina has always enjoyed supporting individuals as they pursue their goals, whether in music, education, or mental health. They are excited for the opportunity to work in mental health full-time and learn from the Lighthouse team. In their free time, Christina enjoys creating music, spending time outdoors, making the perfect cup of coffee, and spending time with her wife and their two cats.

 

Rebekah Conrad (she/her) is an intern at Lighthouse Counseling and is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work degree at Virginia Commonwealth University. Rebekah earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Mary Washington and is now pursuing her career as a social worker after many years in the nonprofit, marketing, and applied behavior analysis fields. Rebekah is also a trauma-informed, certified yoga therapist (C-IAYT) and has been teaching yoga and mindfulness practices since 2010 (E-RYT500). With a passion for holistic health, Rebekah’s integrative approach to therapy acknowledges the interconnection between mind, body, and spirit and how nurturing each of these aspects fosters emotional health. In her free time, Rebekah enjoys practicing yoga, hiking, painting, and spending time with family.

 

Ameer Abdel-Muhsin graduated from the University of Mary Washington in 2024 with a B.S. in the field of Psychology. While he was there, he contacted Lighthouse Counseling for an internship and spent his last semester at UMW working with Lighthouse staff directly. Since graduating, Ameer has begun working for the RACSB’s crisis stabilization program while also continuing to work for Lighthouse as a co-facilitator in one of their DBT skills groups. Ameer has plans to begin a graduate program at the start of 2025.

In his free time, Ameer enjoys watching baseball and soccer, being outdoors, playing video games with friends, and is an avid practitioner of Brazilian jiu jitsu.

Zoe is a Golden Retriever owned by Janine and Carmen. Zoe was successful in her basic and advanced obedience classes before she completed multiple trainings as a therapy dog. (Remember that this is mostly training for the handlers not Zoe, as Zoe is, of course, perfect in all ways). 

Zoe comes to the office several days a week and can be utilized in therapy by request. 

In her free time, Zoe likes her ball, getting petted, her ball and getting petted.  Occasionally she gets into mischief with her cat sibling Christopher. She also likes her ball… a lot.
