River Marley, LCSW uses they/them pronouns. They obtained their bachelor’s degree in Deaf Studies from Towson University in 2014 and worked with the Deaf community as a rehabilitation counselor with a non-profit organization. River earned their master’s degree from University of Maryland, Baltimore, School of Social Work in 2018. River has worked as a Hospice Social Worker and as an outpatient mental health therapist supporting children, adolescents, and adults. River has experience offering mental health counseling in out-patient clinics, homeless shelters, and schools.
River currently provides individual counseling to adolescents and adults and co-leads a Dialectical Behavioral Therapy group. They primarily work with individuals who have anxiety, depression, and emotional dysregulation. River also specializes in LGBTQ+ therapy offering gender and sexual orientation affirmative care.
River is also trained in EMDR for trauma treatment.River has two birds, two cats and loves all things art!!!
